The evidence behind our work
Our programs are grounded in the global evidence base on early childhood development. Key facts that shape our design:
Tanzania is home to over 16 million children aged 0–8 — nearly one-third of the population — yet more than half are at risk of not reaching their full developmental potential.
The first 1,000 days are critical for brain development, and the next 1,000 days are equally important to reinforce, recover, and sustain children's developmental potential.
